Brass Tack was founded in 2014 and is currently in its 9th year as a brick & mortar in the Santa Ynez Valley.

BTC

Stands for Brass Tack Collection where all pieces are designed by Melissa, up the road at her ranch @RANCHYMCRANCH Pieces are cut & sewn at a fair wage Los Angeles sew house. The BTC line is rooted in Melissa’s treasured designer pieces she’s had for decades. “They are essential, forever pieces that elevate any wardrobe, with cool girl, oversized, effortless style and wear comfortably all day.” BTC uses headstock bolts (fabric that has bene made but never used) and would otherwise be bound for landfills.

Vintage Apparel/Accessories & Preworn Designer

Curated by Melissa and selected based on the quality of the construction and timelessness of the piece. Fashion Waste is a giant issue for the earth and because individual style really can't come from trends, we go with classics that can stay in closets for decades. We regularly stock Vintage Levi's along with brands like Chloe, R13, Isabel Marant, Khaite, Proenza Schouler, Celine and The Row to name a few. We've always believed that true style doesn't mean huge price tags. Mixing high and low with well made pieces void of the dangers of fast fashion makes for a happy wardrobe and well styled individual.

SYCC

The Santa Ynez Country Club with the tagline "All Country No Club" was founded in 2023 to celebrate the freedom and peace along with the cowboy code that comes along with valley living. The brand will also serve as an events platform and Best Of the Valley selects from our team of locals. You can shop the line here.

Her sourcing has taken her from the souks Of Marrakech, the haberdasheries of London, the villages of Bolgatanga, the weavers of Guatemala, the fairs of France to the Warehouses of Denmark. Her interior work has been featured in dozens of publications and she's had the opportunity to design celebrity homes, commercial ventures and most recently her ranch.
